Restoration multifamily house Luzern
An exemplary free standing house built on late 19 Century, required a substancial renovation.
The existing free standing multifamily house, stands beautifully at the bank of the Reuss river in Luzern.
The owner of the building gave us the task, to restore the building and readapt the penthouse for his own.
New roof and balconies as well as the complete renewal of sun shaders and the facade where executed.
The house was built at the end of the 19th century, and was extended in the late 40's trough an attached volume, that configured a core of kitchens and bathrooms on each floor.
Carefully choosing natural materials as well as recovering the old historical characteristics of the building. We aimed to add value and comfort to the old house without loosing the charm of the old substance.
This project stands as a wonderful collective work experience between client and architect. We where in charge of the architectural design and also for the construction site management, controlling cost, contraction and times.
