Situated on the northwest border of the Ynfluences Square development, SaônY straddles two opposed ambiances: one distinctly urban side along the major thoroughfare Cours Charlemagne and the other opening up onto the gardens of the intimate inner courtyard of the block. To link these two different atmospheres, the architectural parti was developed to augment the functional permeability of the project. The circulation space for the apartments was purposefully left exterior, open onto the courtyard side of the building, allowing a soft transition for the residents as they head home. The terraces on the Cours Charlemagne form a cocoon whilst the suspended balconies on the courtyard side offer space to respire.
