House-of-One-Pavilion on the Petriplatz
On January 29, 2017 the Foundation House of One celebrates the opening of a temporary pavilion on the Petriplatz in the center of Berlin, the site of the future House of One – House for Prayer and Learning Berlin. It will be used as an information and event space for the project.
Until construction of the House of One starts in 2019, interested people can inform themselves about the project and participate in the event program.
For the pavilion, architect office Kuehn Malvezzi designed the central room of the future House of One in a wooden structure at almost 1:1 scale. The outer form follows
the rhythm of the collums of the “City Loggia”. The pavilion already promoted the House of One at the “World exhibition Reformation” in Lutherstadt Wittenberg in
2017.
In Berlin, the pavilion will be a heatable event space and form the center of a garden that will let the future three sacred rooms become apparent.
