Exposition of hunting on castle Úsov
The Hunting and Forestry Museum at the Moravian Úsov Castle was founded by the Liechtenstein family at the beginning of the 20th century. The preserved collection is unique in its entirety. Unfortunately, during the reconstruction of the castle in the 1980’s, the exhibition suffered from insensitive interventions.
The aim of the reinstallation was to preserve the original cabinet character of the collection, while at the same time making it attractive to today’s visitors. The new exhibition is thematically arranged in nine rooms. The repaired and re-painted display cases were newly lit. Original showcases are inconspiciously complemented by plywood elements of the new fundus and interactive elements. A number of exhibits have also been placed freestanding.
