HOUSE IN RURAL LARDOSA
The program consisted in transforming a family house in a rustic property in to a seasonal residency. Strategic non-structural walls were open to allow a continuous and interconnected space in the ground floor, creating an open kitchen towards a common dining and living area. The north annex, previously a storage room, was transformed in to a separated day-study. The finishes scheme is defined by cemented plastered walls white washed, mate concrete floors and waxed woodwork; (and black floor and ceiling at the annex). Doors and windows were preserved with their original varnish finishing and hardware from the 1970's. The house's exterior façades and its perimeter footprint remained unaltered.
