Encuentro Incierto, Espacio Inserto
The object is formed with 8 pieces, initially generating a basic geometric figure: the square. When the user manipulates the pieces and works with more people, the spatial possibilities increases.
In current conditions -where cyberspace outshines physical space- it is essential that the insertion of a new object in the public space encourages human interaction. Public space has great qualities, it provides the opportunity of meeting and the concentration of human masses. We should ask, how could this space establish and encourage bonds between people? Could this improve the intentions, attitudes and behavior of a society?
For this project, the object functions as an exploration tool on how to get away from divisions and individualism. The users -as a society– take control, and the physical space is adapted through their needs and creativity. The object is formed with 8 pieces, initially generating a basic geometric figure: the square. When the user manipulates the pieces and works with more people, the spatial possibilities increases. It pops-up, rotates and disappears -as complex as the user allows and requires-.
