A set of adjacent commercial rooms is transformed into a unique space for a boutique in San Juan Teotihuacán, Mexico.
A commercial space of 77 square meters is visually duplicated through a mirror located on one of its short sides creating the illusion that the room is twice as long. The long and narrow space is organized linearly through racks, mobile furniture and a mirror at the back of the room that is used to create two semicircular changing rooms.
Contrasting with the uniform and soft appearance of the furniture and walls, the counter was cast in place with concrete with integrated color in a formwork made of half wooden poles. This rough texture was also translated into the design of the floor that was laid on site by local craftsmen. The contrast between the colors and materials of the store creates a sensual and balanced environment.
