The project is about the making of a seating system, as asked by the clients, whose integration in the countryside is the most important feature.
In particular the contest is the one of the Apulian countryside, which is strongly characterized by olive trees and truly red soil. That's why, after the choice of the area, chosen for its position in front of an ancient villa and facing its garden, the choice of materials came.
The main structure is made in marble: in particular travertine has been chosen because of the role it had in the history of apulian and italian architecture as the main stone used by ancient romans, and because of its color which well linked to the present soil.
The idea is the one of the seating meant as a natural presence of stone on the site.
The use of majolicas came soon after as a mix of carpets just put over the seating: the tiles draw a pattern and a design according to textile rules.
The shades of green and their patterns are a sort of ode to mediterranean architecture, colors and shapes.
In the center there is a fire pit, as the real centre of people's life, a metaphor of spare time as the real time to enjoy life and all its beauties.
