UR HOUSE
The simplicity of the UR House comes from its geometric base structure in which a cantilevered volume – whose form references the archetypal shape of a house – intersects its depth.

At first sight, the somewhat naive image of the house, takes you back to infancy; there is a curious non intentional resemblance with the doll’s house. This coincidence, instead of bothersome pleased us: lets hope this house will evoke similar joys in her owner’s mind once it is built.

Under a more careful scrutiny, that naive appearance reveals a hidden complexity of program and structure. Volumes in cantilever, the use of bare structural brick, interior patios. Its austere palette of finishing details, turned the limited budget into expressive opportunity.
