EP House
The kitchen meant as the heart of the house, the place where to meet, the crossing point to reach the other spaces (rooms), opened towards the living room, discreete but always visible.
This is the letimotiv of Studio Tamat renouvation the the flat situated in the heart of the Monteverde Vecchio district in Rome.
The changing of the spaces is underlined by the changing of the floor surfacing: the Carrara marble , the original floor - there since 1954, identifies the entrance, the living and dining room. The bamboo warms the bedrooms and the corridor; big ceramic slabs for the bathrooms and for the kitchen.
Wall units, sliding panels and mirrors in the ceiling play with spaces highlighting hidden corners or hiding the air conditioning system.
