Plant and Offices Doxsteel Manufacturing Fasteners México
The project to create the needs of the market and users, through the integration of new office spaces and control of the areas necessary for production and storage.
They were integrated into the set of new spaces for ovens and equipment, laboratories, workshops, warehouses, cleaning areas and services for employees of the plant.
The original building consisted of a ship of 40 mx 10 m with roof of sheet to two waters. This was accompanied by a volume without industrial character of the levels that worked as offices and laboratory. The services were parallel to the ship leaving vehicular circulation between the two spaces.

The original building consisted of a ship of 40 mx 10 m with roof of sheet to two waters. This was accompanied by a volume without industrial character of the levels that worked as offices and laboratory. The services were parallel to the ship leaving vehicular circulation between the two spaces.
A new wing was created, parallel to an existing one for production and offices; We took advantage of the industrial scale and integrated a new volume of three levels.
The ground floor works for production, storage and has direct access to the original floor through the corridor and lateral connections.
On the second level the offices were located, which was converted under the open office scheme with areas of collaboration and services, located parallel to the development of the work islands.
On the third level there is a garden on the roof, giving a playful use to the industrial roof that is usually wasted. With this space, most of the height that is the view of the area and the whole was used.
The laboratory is located where the offices were Paraphrasing with the offices in operation and moving forward with the construction, the structure is implemented as an envelope of the existing volume; therefore, office and laboratory functions do not stop. Once the new office wing is enabled, the original volume is demolished and the laboratory work is continued.
The facade of the new complex is a "skin" of perforated plate. The elaboration of this is carried on site, using the machinery of the plant to make the cut of the pattern. The design of the perforations represents the specialty in chemical products.
The Connector Element Between the Complex of offices, plants and laboratory is the Hall of double height, wrapped with the façade perforated plate what does it do? That the exterior is completely permeable and the sea controlled access.
The different levels come together through bridges that come from the director ladder, this makes the ground floor free sea for the local transit of the plant and the accesses to the different spaces are in the corresponding levels.
We seek to use natural materials, not only focused on their natural aesthetics sin artificial finishes, easy maintenance, resistance and sobriety.
Following the emblem and philosophy carried out by the Company, we use metal plate, concrete for its versatility, cleanliness and aesthetics in structure and finish, Viroc is part of the exterior facade of the laboratory, workshops and internal walls of the laboratory, because it is a natural material of the UN Formed of wood and cement, due to its flexibility of use in interiors and exteriors.
OSB was used in internal lambrines to form service boxes in the office, as it is a material with high strength qualities and used as a finish respecting its original image.
The glass for its transparency achieved the integration between the interior and exterior of the spaces that make up the project.
While the carpet was designed specifically with the intention of maintaining the sobriety of the design but injects elements that give the necessary energy that a workspace needs. This is reflected with the colors of the carpet that interacts with the color of the OSB.
