the request of the client was an affordable house for the weekends. the proposal of a 'cabin' seemed the perfect solution. starting with a very low budget and the materials available in Greece (wood is very expensive), i arrived to the conclusion of a container shaped small house made of metal inner structure covered with aluminium sandwich panels. the interior is all covered with OSB wood panels.it is in the final phase of construction and it will be transferred on site when finished. the site is a mostly rock surface. a deck is also under construction where the house will be placed on. the idea is to keep the site as untouched as possible so the natural environment is kept virgin as a natural garden with local herbs.
the house covers a total surface of 27 sq.m. and it is a clean cut shaped box of 3m x 9m.
