Patio and porch elements as generators of housing live, these two elements are distintive of the mediterranean architecture
Topic:
The house is located on a plot with not many singularities surrounded by isolated houses with pool. The orientation and the maximum use of the free space left by the building are the main inputs of the project.
This is how two basic elements of Mediterranean architecture are used, such as the patio and the porch.
The patio as generator of housing life, unites all spaces and brings intimacy and unity to the whole house.
It also serves as a shelter from the sun and wind that can be used in winter and spring.
The south porch, is the one that generates the facade of the house with a large beam of 14 meters long without any pillar and it is thought as a space to be in summer, next to the pool.
The carpentries are made of iroko wood with natural varnishes and painted galvanized steel blinds that imitate the color of the water from the pool.
The interior space where the entrance is located and that distributes the whole house is the kitchen, which is located in the middle of the house. The distribution is intended to eliminate the corridors to the maximum and make the most of the dead spaces. Two bedrooms with two bathrooms on the groundlow, living room and garage and a study room on the first floor.
