Pinocchio Children's Library
Through the wood, into the Tale
Every Tale is an adventure, hidden between the pages of a book, an adventure that slowly reveals itself, page by page.
During the curvy promenade in the park of Pinocchio, among the soft foliage of a dense vegetation, it may occur suddenly to catch sight of a fairy house, the cat and the fox or even the whale. The project is generated by this process of incessant discovery, where the forest becomes the joint between reality and the magical world of the Tale.
The trees conceal the entirety of the space, which discloses itself just in some particular moments, like rays of sunlight that breaks through the branches of trees, filling the space.
There, you can find the Tale. There, the project starts.
The project works like the trees, at first becoming extension of it and then hiding the sight of the sky and the park by going through the hall. All these elements meet gradually in one continuous space, where a diffuse light touches the exhibition space, passing through the structure to finally meet the books. In this way the space is expanded by the direct light coming from the park, where the Tale happens.
