Residence 2015-014
Charlap Hyman & Herrero fully renovated and restored a historic Brooklyn townhouse for an artist and a curator with two young children. Featured in Architectural Digest’s December, 2017 "Living with Art" issue, the home features a cork floored kitchen that drew inspiration from Piero Portaluppi’s Villa Necchi and a skylit master bathroom that functions as an atrium between the bedroom and the wardrobe, paying homage to the wonderful floors in Cy Twombly's Roman studio. The result of this collaboration between CHH and such creative clients is a space in which history, art and narrative all come together within a coherent program.
