Berberè Navigli
The approach of the architectural design for the second Berberè restaurant in Milan was to bring up the history of the place and blend it with the typical and recognizable brand style.
The restaurant is located in Navigli, one of the most iconic districts of the city, and it gets noticed by its large windows that show off what’s inside. The kitchen and the large pizza oven are not hidden but have been brought to the fore: they are the center of the scene and catalyze attention both inside and out. During the restoration process, the brick walls have been brought to light in a natural way, showing the signs of past events. The customization work do not alter the intrinsic atmosphere of the place: a yellow band does not cover the original bricks but just overlaps them, unifying the spaces and becoming the bar counter itself. The materials used: dark wood, white marble, cement tiles and the existing whitewashed brick walls bring the visitor in a past, healthy and genuine dimension.
The interior design, internal communications, the graphics and brand identity were all created by Comunicattive.
