PARA DANIEL
We are commissioned for the refurbishment of a 40m2. One bedroom, a hall, a living room, a kitchen and a bathroom. Given its small size, we propose to act in all rooms according to the same logic.
The kitchen, as the most complex space of the house, gives rise to the DNA that characterizes all design procedures. Its essential components: the storage structures, the working plane at 90cm in height and the tiling travel to the rest of the rooms. The procedure that leads the project can be understood as something continuous: a single strategy.
The main space, containing the living room, the bedroom and the hall are not separated by partitions but are distributed from a single large piece of furniture that incorporates different types of storage spaces and openings. Constructed from small variations of a same detail a lattice of 45x45mm wooden slats helps to articulate all the encounters between the different materials that close the object forming its edges.
Each room of the house, including the bathroom, located in the old gallery, is 'crowned' by a small chapel with tiled walls, a marble envelope 90cm high and a series of storage spaces, dedicated to a certain daily action: arriving-leaving, dressing-undressing, cooking, grooming, working.
