Slefringe Manor and Pool House
The original parts of the main building date back to the 17th century. The project consists of a renovation of the main building, and a new pool house extension. The project has also involved extensive garden and ground works.
To preserve the delicate surroundings, numerous cultural and practical considerations have been taken into account. The relationship between the new pool house and the old house has been studied in depth with a view to making a natural link between the two.
The solution is a “contextual box”. By partially setting the pool house into an existing terrace, the new volume discretely joins the garden, while still displaying its own distinct character.
