This project is the meeting between an empty old factory in the city and the Bieristan team. The goal was to transform the building and the backyard. The proposition was to use the backyard as an entension of the interior, by offer a garden with several uses for the differents seasons and times of the day. The clients can have a drink in a friendly and intimate atmosphere through this closed garden, protected by other buildings and a wall. It was developed with different sequences induced by objects (art, vegetation…)
Inside, the modifications are really simples. The architects chose to keep the industrial atmosphere, and they just bring some renovation touches. On the main entrance, they kept the windows and they added a plastic curtain to make feel the transition from the street to the pub. In keeping with the industrial atmosphre, the ceiling let show all the electric / pipe installations, and the walls are covered of wood.
The furniture is a melting of second hand stuff, and gives a disparate impact. Those furniture mixed with contemporary materials offers a special atmosphere for the beer lovers to spend their evening, afterwork or the Sunday in the pub.
