PRIMO RAMO
PRIMORAMO represents the bud of the “Green Tree Strategy” master plan, which has been developed with LAND Srl. The project was born during the universal exhibition EXPO2015, held in Venice in the nearby of VEGA, like a urban renewal project and cultural appropriation of the spaces in Porto Marghera, by developing functions which are alternative and complementary to those of the industrial port and the scientific park.
The reality of Porto Marghera is not only rich in hidden potentialities: some extraordinary jewels are buried inside, a very interesting social fabric, made up of associations and cultural institutions which don’t reveal at all on the quality of connection spaces they go through every day. PRIMORAMO thinks about it and takes advantage of the event EXPO2015 and the pavilion AQUAE Venezia 2015 in order to improve, or maybe to build a new urban quality for these places.
VEGA has therefore focused on a new quality of the connection spaces, trying to confute the theory of busy streets, crowded by the wild car parking – although the very good accessibility by the means of public transport – and the long anonymous distribution corridors. PRIMORAMO has worked on these spaces use and connection, making them human-like and generating a short-circuit able to start a new generation that could match culture with the PST environment. The action has persisted in the physical and emotional dimension of the environment, never really lived by workers and visitors. At the bottom of the project there’s the idea that, without any events and contents, without any care, any transformation is unluckily useless. An anthropological landscape like the VEGA’s one is first a social landscape made up of people and relationships to support with cosy and inclusive space solutions.
PRIMORAMO has worked a lot both on spaces and on the program of events and cultural projects, being divided in three main parts: an indoor exhibition section in the pavilion Pegaso-Antares (the project included the exhibitions “Across Chinese Cities Beijing”, “Mu.r.i. . – Museo diffuso regionale dell’ingegneria” e “L’acqua brucia – Mostra di pittura materica sull’elemento acqua in continuità con AQUAE Venezia 2015”), an above-grounded square, equipped to held cultural events (organized by SPAZIO AEREO, DONOTFRIDAY and other organisers), a boulevard which reduces the new interesting places with the flows of access and the workers and visitors’ itineraries, as well as it works on the space perception at a very low-cost labour. The project particularly focuses on this long promenade – a 400 hundred-metre boulevard – equipped with a green area, furniture and is designed with geometrical shapes which erase the idea of parking road, like almost a scale tattoo, that aeroplanes too can see when they land on Marco Polo Airport.
