AUSTERE ELEGANCE. THOM BROWNE STORE LONDON ALBERMARLE STREET
The first Thom Browne store in London is the second single-brand store in Europe following the one in Milan.
Asastudio has launched a partnership with the Thom Browne NY brand that will involve the brand’s news stores in Europe and Asia. The London store is a 500 m2 unit on two floors connected by a winding staircase.
The Venetian blinds on the windows are a typical feature of Thom Browne stores.
The interiors recall the rational and symmetrical rigour of the architecture of the 1930s-1950s, distinctive for the contrasting blacks and whites which are brought together by an austere elegance.
The furniture comprises original pieces by American and French designers: Edward Wormley, Paul McCobb, Jacques Adnet and Maison Jansen. The London store was published in Wallpaper, Vogue Italia and Luuk.
