We were asked to redesign their lower ground floor which was formerly a low ceilinged and dark bar. In contrast to the stripped back aesthetic of the existing ground floor we wanted to create a contrasting space that would surprise people descending the stairs. The space is designed to be glamorous and luxurious but with a restrained use of materials. The main materials used were zinc, black MDF, brass and gloss pink painted plaster. The space is arranged as a series of blue velvet booths, double doors provide brief glimpses of the kitchen beyond.
