Lighthouse sea hotel
Reconstruction of the existing lighthouse as a sea hotel. Project suggests a more inclusive and locally responsive program that can attract the tourists and at the same time benefit the locals.
Plemmirio is a unique place not only by its land, but with its underwater life as well. It is a popular place for diving and suggests lots of underwater caves and sculptures for investigation.
The program is to integrate local community with the coming tourists and bring life to the lighthouse. The mixture of public (freediving center, small boat rent, museum, restauant, observation amphitheater) and private (hotel rooms) facilities aims to achieve this goal.
Freediving would help, firstly, visitors to perceive and explore nature differently, secondly, would bring huge benefits to the place, such as world scale competitions, that introduce new records and make lighthouse an event hotspot.
