The house, sitting at around 40km from Milan, was designed for a family of carpenters. It was built in the late 50’s together with an orangery and a summer pavilion. The house was originally splitted in three flats, one for each level. The project brief was based on moving the main entrance to the Ground Floor and combining the first two storey into a duplex apartment. The new timber cladded staircase connects Ground and First Floor in a gentle manner thanks to the use of the light. The interiors have been completely remodeled, creating an open plan dining-living space facing the main garden and three additional bedrooms on the First floor.
