AL House
The work consisted in rural warehouse restructuring, to be converted into housing. The concept was to reinvent the typical rural house into a contemporary style, marking the elements that make up extensions from the original structure. The extensions were built from a metal structure, enclosed by glass walls and shaded by vertical wooden slats. To construct a symmetrical roof, in the segment that "hooks" onto the extensions, the existing coverage was replaced by a flat roof. In this way, the restored building has an 'L' plan and is composed of two parts: one with symmetrical layers, and another one crossing to the first segment, with a another flat roof and and a transparent cube at its end.
