Brussels
A former medical office in a building of the 50s is rehabilitated in housing. We propose to open the space as much as possible and take advantage of the reinforced concrete frame that allows the free plan.
The budget is tight; we must do the right thing and put energy in the most visible spaces. The floor is made of polished concrete to unify. The walls and ceilings are painted white. The supporting structure is exposed. A shaft in the old bathroom now occupies the large living room. It is an opportunity to indulge in the pleasure of the gesture by integrating it into a wooden cabinet whose curves recall a sperm whale's head.
