ANDSTUDIOS - THE CREATIVE HUB
Andstudios was born form the redevelopment of an old garage located in a nineteenth century building in Milan.
The studio is a multi-functional space of 150sqm and is designed to be both a platform to provide services, such as as photographic studio, event location, showroom, or temporary store, and as a space for cultural meetings, exhibitions and workshops. The space is located at the ground floor and grows as a large open-space with furnished rooms which create spaces ranging from a meeting/waiting corner to a living, a shooting area, an office and an in view kitchen designed to mask its real function.
Perhaps born out of necessity in trying to convert old and abandoned factory into spaces conducive to urban living, this design style celebrates engineering and mechanical ingenuity like little else.
The location is in perfect high-tech design and is one of the most modern trends in the home decoration industry. It is a style that exploits the specifics of the latest technologies and that can be used both in residential interior design and in the public sector. Its peculiarity is to take the original aesthetic potential of the pipes, flaps, beams, lights and ventilation ducts, and to give also a specific importance to materials such as glass, plastic and metal, showing a colour palette composed mainly of metallic silver, black and white. The choice of in view brick walls was due since warm or neutral colours are usually favored with industrial style households, typically wide and open., as these tones helps bringing visual warmth in locations that could otherwise be overcome by the excessive freshness and coldness of the metallic tubes and pipes. The grey tones are also functional as well.
