The project works with the old and the new- the original Georgian spaces have been restored in a simple way, with new, contemporary, furniture like insertions added throughout. These insertions include a new second staircase rising up to the top two floors formed in structural glass with ‘floating’ stainless steel treads, which works as a foil to the restored Georgian staircase. Further insertions include a black metal dressing room, a garden room, and a number of corian clad bathrooms.
