Terry O'Neill Pavilion
A steel structure lands on the central plaza of Colombo creating a nest in order to protect a precious photographic exposition. The intense color of the structure and floor allow to isolate the black and white photographs while at the same time, disconnecting the interior of the structure, from the rest of the shopping mall and its intense visual stimuli. Steel triangles are assembled around a hexagonal base in order to create an irregular and constantly shifting shape depending on your position within it. The rebar filling the triangles gets less dense as they approach the top of the structure, The photographs are suspended by another type of rebar structure, creating a maze, and giving the impression that they are floating within the pavilion.
