The cabin takes place near the small town of Saint-Ferréol in Haute-Savoie, France.
We wanted to create a link between the forest path and the riverbank by positionning the construction at the edge of the wood.
Our conceptual approach was to evoke the first cabins we build being children with branches and strings. Something almost archetypal, only shaping a roof.
Then we designed the most simple structure as possible with half-stems and rough planks.
The project also develops a playfull way to practice architecture and space with the balcony in the trees that everyone can reach by climbing the sidewall.
