Santa Teresa House
Located in the city of Rio de Janeiro, Santa Teresa House lies within a 5 thousand square meters of a dense green Area, and has a large view to the bay. The house is divided in two parts in different levels connected by a continuous gallery with natural light. A continuous rooftop is a piece of 40 meters long that receives a continuos roof glass in one side and the other side two difFerent inclination of metal tiles: one for the intimate part of the house in the upper level (bedroOms, kitchen, dining room) and the other for the living room in the lower level. The metal tiles are covered with wood paneling. The house has a blind frontal façade to the street with translucent glass, to fell protected and cosy. To the other side a completely open glass façade to the panoramic view. At night it is a wall of light with shades from inside. The excess of light in the gallery is protected by the trees.
