Venus in the Land of Canova
A few, white volumes made by honeycomb cardboard to accomodate Canova’s artworks create new perspectives on the permanent collection of this small museum.
The exhibit shape is the result of a nesting procedure in a standard panel obtaining the highest number of pieces in order to save material. The main characters of the exhibition, Venus and Paris, are placed together, in the main room, looking in each other eyes. They are alone – except for three tall prisms covered with mirror, to reflect in infinite ways the gaze between the hero and his chosen one.
