The tree, the children and the prairie.
The project is conceived around a white spine, which part of the new entry in the lobby to join the new wing. This policy then tells tiny stories evoking the world of childhood : a bird welcomes children , the lobby green as the forest, a wood post that turns into a tree , the film frame on the meadow and wood, and finally small house, landmark sweet and familiar games like cubes of our childhood.
The current kindergarden La Fôret is a basic U-shaped building without any center. His répétitive architecture, based on precast concrete blocks, illustrates kind of basic 70’s architecture without any special quality, that could be as a scholl, as a town hall, as an administrative establishment.
Today, this school suffers of lack of fontionnality in inputs and circulations and a narrow premises.
Meadow and wood.
The extension and rehabilitation of the existing aim firstly to highlight the strengths of the site: a beautiful meadow on the back and a small wooden border between the school and the canteen.
New court.
The new wing is conceived on the site to be wild open on the Small wood, closing in this way the meadow, turning it into alternative court during the summer for scholl or summer camp.
Tiny stories.
Transform the current kindergarden, it’s describe the areas to read the function of the institurion in the public space. The new school must speak.

Functional and centered.
The extension is the new playground of the school. Divided into two areas: the area of motor skills and storytelling in the home , one is versatile, wide and bright to meet all children's activities , and the other creates a soft, closed environment, light is dimmed , a small stage is conceived around a step for receiving a storyteller , musician, watch a movie or read.
The two spaces are separated by a sliding white curtain on which the various school children have drawn the fauna and flora of the small wood.
This extension is connected to the center of the school becomes the new entry and allows to combine administrative areas while distributing a logical classes and dormitories. A new health and the executive office are imagined by providing transparency of the internal circulations.
