Ex-warehouse lofts
In 1940 the cotton warehouses were transformed in residential blocks: those which in the past were cement stores are now stunning residential buildings.
Inside the first industrial area of the city, founded between XIX and XX centuries, between the railway and Canal Salso, among factories and warehouses, Magazzini Generali was born, beside a dock with a 700 meters long quay, which today is incorporated in the final section of the Laguna Palace Hotel. The apartments are located in the Old General Warehouses, on the raised floor of the last of five blocks and exposed to the Canal Salso, which connects Mestre to Venice by water. The lofts are shaped with a spacious and bright living room, a fully equipped kitchen with island, a laundry room and a toilet on the ground floor and two double bedrooms with bathroom upstairs. Through Cassina sofas, Vitra objects and Artemide lamps it’s possible to appreciate the mix of modern and vintage design.
