House in Tires
The dwelling is inserted in a residential estate just outside the Lisbon city Limit on a small, flat, north facing plot or land. A group of white volume balance and ovelap one another drawing and hierarchizing the interior and exterior spaces of the dwelling.
The distributional Layout is very clear: at the entrance level the joining of volumes allows continuity between social spaces and defining recreational areas in continuity with the exterior. On the upper level the bedrooms are defined by individual blocks that balance over the lower level, defining small balconies and defining external views while offering privacy.
To the North and South of the dwelling two small courtyards puncture the land carrying light down to the laundry, wine cellar, multi-use space and parking at the lower level.
At the center of the dwelling, the play of volumes makes space for the main stair, a double storey space that offers transparency between the two levels.
