The south Halls are part of the Beaulieu congress and exhibition center. The initial project included a multipurpose tower on the east side, which wasn’t built for political reasons.
Two overlapping halls are lined by the Beaulieu plaza and l’avenue des Bergières.
The building front is obviously urban.
The nature and disposition of the openings is evocative of the domestic scale of the surrounding context and adapts itself well to the different programs. In this way, the façade forms a visual connection between being a large-scale building and its surrounding urban fabric.
From the interior, the windows outline numerous views of the city. Borrowed from the theatrical world, the inside colors highlight the various spaces. The golden entrance hall asserts itself in its representative role, the crimson staircases guide the visitors and the intentionally neutral exposition halls allow the exhibitors to manage “à la carte” their personal staging and lighting.
