The studio for a graphic design agency was designed within the contours of the shell of an apartment in the centre of Hasselt. The main task was to make maximum use of the available surface for working space. The working area is demarcated by a meandering red brick shell in which extensions reach towards daylight from the windows. The irregular shape naturally forms a variety of working areas, each with its own size and atmosphere. Additional functions take up the minimum of space and are situated in the leftover rooms behind the brick wall. These zones only receive indirect sunlight from the workspace through glass in the doors and sporadic perforations in the brick wall.
