House E
The dwelling house is a complete massive timber construction, painted externally and inside completely in sight. For the outside a greyish green olive tone was selected, which fits perfectly into the environment.
The house is a complete triangle. There was no other choice, the form was defined by land borders and distance regulations. Thus, the office designed an unusual, tailor-made volume directly to the existing plant and placed it perfectly into the property.Particular is not only the shape of the plot, but also the location. It is located on the slopes of the sun in the Vinschgau Valley in Southtyrol, with its typical terraces created of natural stone walls.
The building was placed exactly so that no terrace was destroyed.
The markers are the incisions for the triangular building.
These have been deliberately colored and painted in dark brown.
On the ground floor in the entrance area are floor and walls in beige-gray plastered as well as the floor on the first floor and in all bathrooms. According to the reduced color and material concept. There are only two surface materials, spruce wood and this spackling compound.
The central element in the staircase is a wooden part, which slides downwards from above. It goes over all three floors and was relatively elaborate in the construction.Due to the complex polygonal floor plan a model had to be made.
The whole element was only inserted afterwards. From the first floor is everything in wood, consisting of massive sandwich walls, which were not after-treated.
One comes directly from the living area on the first upper floor to a terrace.
