Xavi House
The apartment. Built in the mid-80's, quite uncharacteristic but with generous areas.
The clients. A young couple and Xavi, the dog that takes care of the house.
The pre-existing spaces did not fullfill the clients' expectations.
The intervention strategy was defined between an intense participatory process with the clients to aim a maximum personalization of the space.
The strategy was based on the installation of a spatial device that establishes a new perimeter with an unique material identity that ensures the new spatial characterization and functions.
This new perimeter configuration promotes continuous surfaces from the existing windows, driving the light into the apartment.
