East Zhongshan Building
East Zhongshan is a high development design project. It's located on the Bund in Shanghai, just in front of Lujiazui skyline (new city of Shanghai with skyscrapers like Shanghai Tower, World Financial Centre, Jin Mao Tower and more).

The program of the project required a highly complex functional mix: residential, commercial, cultural. Everything. The result was an infinitely replicable grid that would logically contain everything. During the design it was given particular attention to the relationship with the context, without destroying existing buildings although they were “historical fake”. It has therefore had a conservative approach although it is not typical for chinese mentality.
