Luxemburg Pavilion Expo 2020 in Dubai
The project is a competition entry for the Luxembourg Pavilion at the Expo 2020 in Dubai. The proposed Pavilion reflects the encounter of Arabian and European architecture on an equal footing.
The proposed Pavilion reflects the fusion of European and Arabian architecture.
We thought to cover the pavilion with tent fabric (which is the most sustainable form of architecture in the desert) at the exterior and interior, in order to create a unique interaction between modern European spaces and Bedouin traditions.
The exhibitions were designed by Luxembourg-based scenographer studio polenta (http://new.studiopolenta.com). They will feature video mappings on the key issues of the Expo 2020 in Dubai: Sustainability, mobility and opportunities.
