Plaza Catalinas
This public space is located in one of Catalinas Norte’s edges, an urban enclave between the financial centre and Buenos Aires city harbor.
The irregular geometry of the plot contrasts with the orthogonal footprint of the tower, which liberates a sorrounding area with undefined identity.
The project assumes these contingencies as its starting point and proposes a system of spatial organization that sees each irregularity of the ground level as a stimulus capable of positively influencing its final crystallization. By doing so, both the walking terrain and the vegetation areas (required by the LEED norms) dissolve into a formal system which, projected vertically, characterizes each of the square edges.
