The project aims to subordinate the new architecture to the old, but in a way in which a symbiosis is generated by provoking an intimate relationship between both. At the same time, the new architecture pretends to be subtle and humble and modify the least preexisting features of the site as possible. Thus, the pure and clean concrete volume of the proposal places itself in a lower level than the one of the ruins and partially sunken into the ground, opening itself to the landscape where required - a journey is created for the pilgrim - controlling the amount of natural light received and framing elements of the landscape depending on its orientation.
