Terra Nullius
Terra Nullius is an spiritual space of edification that appears like a way of exploiting the natural reservoir of the territory of São Jacinto dunes. It is intended an integration of the same in the place, highlighting the phenomenological events. Conceptually the goal is to search for light through a hierarchy in the depth of buildings, each of which will have its own identity.
Was chosen the use of the circular form with the aim of not emphasising a geographical orientation in such a vast territory,.
Regarding the implantation, this will be divided by three moments in different places, trying an exploration of the best that the territory has to offer.
The first building, situated near the main access road, will mark the beginning of the itinerary. This one will have a rip that aims to arouse the curiosity of the visitor in the exploration of the same, following the route through a small opening previously invisible until the moment of entry into it.
The itinerary thereby crosses the first building that will lead us to the second moment of the project. Here will be integrated the private part of the program, the cells, and a public zone. These will be implemented in the lake area, a place of refuge and absolute silence with dense vegetation. Access is made by a ramp that once again rips the building and takes us to the negative of the land. Here we can find a zone of permanence, the cells, and the restaurant.
In order to prevent complete isolation by the user from the outside environment, the cells will have integrated yards.
Forwarding the visitor to the last moment of the itinerary, this one already in the dunes and in a place of little vegetation, is the ramp that crosses the second built. The access is made by an opening that directs us to its interior and when entering comes a first contact with the identity of the building. A cloth of light that will be felt on the walls.
Afterwards the visitor will have the possibility to climb to the top by a spiral staircase or exit through another opening that leads to the sea.
At the top of the building you get a visual relation with all the surroundings and with the route made. This is considered the moment of reflection, the room.
