The project is established within a tight dead-end that is situated closely to Aligre Square within the 12th arrondissement. It is located at deep within the district itself and surrounded by buildings with various heights ranging from 4 to 10 stories. The depth of the parcel has enabled us to set all the vertical circulations necessary into a sort of perpendicular strip connected as an impasse in order to provide a crossing between apartments.
The building is able to fit its maximum amount of apartments due to the usage of its enveloping curved nature efficiently. It is a recessed structure erected from a ground-level alignment that provides the apartments protection by a laser cut still sheet, which itself respects the pattern that has been set by former Parisian iron-worked balconies.
This pattern is also found again within the window frames that were completed by mantling and concealing it in golden tint. The marked basement reiterates the classic decomposition of its surrounding buildings, littered with unorthodox shops in the form of old scooter garages and artist studios.
The whole building finds insulation through a white silvered coat finish located on the outside of it. It provides a durable and thermal exterior that is enhanced by golden yellow tones that reflect what is projected by its frame windows.
