The operation is located within a national urban renewal agency zone (ANRU) and is intended to replace the tower blocks on the Montceleux plain. The aim is to offer landscaping qualities worthy of a “slice of countryside” in an urban environment. The garden-city theme served as a unique urban form based on a number of organisational principles: no more than four floor levels, no basements, provision of multiple aspects for housing units, and outdoor spaces directly connected to shared gardens. The six blocks adopt the same architectural language expressed through the ways in which the materials are worked (concrete, wood and metal).
