The project took place in the centre of Padova, northern Italy. The starting point is the will to emphasize the large window volume with a simple architecture and furnishing.
The client needed to have a large and comfortable reception, with direct connection to the offices, and seating for the waiting area that could accommodate variable users’ flows during the day.
The materials are concrete grey tile floor, walls and ceiling covered with birch Topakustik Fantoni that allows a great sound absorption – the main problem, due to the full windowed walls – as well as a remarkable aesthetic effect. Black metal coating for the pillars and ceiling borders hide formal criticality.
The waiting seats are large Aero benches from Sellex, made entirely of extruded aluminum. This model has been chosen for its sleek form that creates an otherwise impossible spatial perception.
The project is completed by architectural graphics and signage designed by the graphic design studio Multiplo, which also designed the visual identity system, based on the yellow colour which stands out with a resolute attitude, in a rather grey urban context.
