Black Pan FoodTruck
Black Pan Food Truck is a restaurant that sells gourmet hamburgers located in the northern part of the city of Cordoba, Argentina.
It is conceived as an extension of the first Food Truck of the city. It is for this reason that the main material chosen for the façade of the premises is corrugated sheet. The project is carried out on an old house that is totally remodeled to adapt it to the structural and aesthetic needs of the project.
Thus, with the idea of moving the food truck to a fixed gastronomic place, the Interior Decorator, Belén Quiroga, works with Grazia Pierini, designer of the brand since its beginnings, and with the collaboration of Architect Natalia Fernández Favaron; and together devise a contemporary dinner with references to fast food places brought to a design environment so that each space fulfills a function and at the same time marks a style.
The place is conceived entirely with the use of black and white in all the materials used; respecting the brand image. Corrugated sheet, mosaics, ceramic and plaster are used with these two tones that contrast and harmonize in a natural way.
The business has 9 areas clearly delimited by the project of the decorator: the cashier and pick up section that is framed by a drawer of black plate and white corián in counter (simulating the opening of the container of the food truck),lounge, garden, main kitchen, production kitchen, butcher, offices, warehouse and personal clothing.
The lighting was thought as an integral part of the interior and exterior design. LED technology was used to solve the different effects achieved with lighting. The volumetric ceiling in the center of the room that runs as a spine is illuminated with led profiles to achieve general illumination. The rest of the ceiling was equipped with AR111 for more artistic lighting. And all this is completed with decorative lighting like a Sputnik spider, hanging balloons and filament lamps. This way, you can alternate lighting circuits for different effects and schedules of the day.
On the ceiling of the room, it was decided to make a line that extends from the entrance door to the bottom with asymmetric volumes. They are formed by triangles with different angles that alternate between black, white and graphic.
Toilets are also thought of as an important part of the physical space. Made with smooth cement, plaster and marble. The women toilet is entirely white and the one for men of black color. Likewise, a "Hand Wash Station" was made outside the bathrooms where a vintage allowance of the 50s was placed.
Graphic design takes great prominence in the whole space. Words are used in an informative way (marking spaces) as decorative. References to the world of graffiti, rock, pop and gamer influence are found through out the shop. Thebillboard leaves a strong imprint of the brand with corporeal in acrylic with backlight placed on a border of 20mts of long plotted with the graphs that identify the mark. Also neon is used as in classic dinners, in stained glass with a hamburger marking the identity and business concept. Neon is used inside as waell, with a basketball ring that refers to the suburbs of New York.
The furniture is designed by the Interior Decorator in straight and simple lines so that they fulfill their function by integrating themselves organically to the spaces. Individual high tables, community bars, boxes, "pic-nics", chairs and stools are distributed both inside and outside the premises drawing white and black lines.
Conceived as a space to experiment with all senses from visual to taste, we also worked with sound professionals to create a sound design. The speakers are distributed to generate a sorround musicalization that does not disturb the diners but accompany them in the experience.
Thus, Black Pan Food Truck was born so that customers enjoy a gourmet fast food in an environment for their integral enjoyment, which extends from the kitchens, to the garden through the attention area and lounge.
