BUSINESS HEADQUARTERS BUILDING
The founding idea is a place invention.
The architectural theme is the open-air courtyard building.
The building would like to become a new landmark of this are, a civil landmark as the castles used to be, the guard towers, the monasteries which represented the political and religious power.
By designing this project we have taken care of the attitude that our job of architects should have facing confused traditional areas and of disputable architectural value; a project which tries to insert the handiwork making it become generative element of a dynamic with urban vocation.
The building tries to build a new identity for this part of the Ponte S Nicolò village researching a shape and meaning.
The project besides defining the business and headquarters areas that will create the new building faces the theme of the covered Square as centre in redefining this place.
The “Civic Square” is what should represent a community: its value beside the functional destination is indeed the one of architectural and urban element, able to build an area with its own recognition and identity.
It’s the court-square which confirms the centre and the meaning of the project as a public place.
Task of the project has therefore been to articulate the richness of the spaces and the architectural parties of the complex highlighting the architectural characteristics and peculiarities reinforcing the strength of the unity in the whole, dictating new architectural hierarchies between the parts, hierarchies needed for the construction of a building that is about public quality.
This space is thought as a theatre metaphor.
Sure enough it is made by elements which resemble the ledges-stages, the gallerystalls and the stage-backdrop.
