Country Home
A timber and glass multi-storey house has been completed in Buckinghamshire.
A three-level rear extension and a radical refurbishment of an existing 70s' purpose-built house enhanced the relationship with the surrounding nature.
The rear facade has been developed with laminated larch having invisible structural joints. The smooth and clean structural grid has a very subtle rustic feel.
The new timber columns structural array help define the interior space and create a very close relationship between the interior and the outdoor space.
The main living space develops into a double volume with a mezzanine study with open views of the garden framed by the facade.
A new roof extension also features a triangular panoramic loft window.
